Lakeshore and Crossroads chambers collaborate on economic development

In 2014, the two largest chambers of commerce in Lake County (The Lakeshore Chamber and Crossroads Regional Chamber- together representing over 1200 businesses) collaborated with the NW Indiana Forum, the Indiana Economic Development Corp (IEDC), and NIPSCO to form the LCEA (Lake County Economic Alliance). The Alliance was created to further enhance our economic development efforts by providing a one-stop entity, committed entirely to Lake County, Indiana.

The LCEA concentrates not only on New Business Attraction, but also the Retention & Expansion of our valuable companies already doing business in Lake County. Current emphasis is on advanced manufacturing, distribution centers, medical services, data centers, and the development of the state's new "Opportunity Zones"
